Kazmierski Earns MaxPreps/AVCA Player of the Week Accolades

Senior Kasey Kazmierski was named MaxPreps/AVCA Girls High School Player of the Week for the week of August 21. She was one of only 36 players selected nationally and the only pick from Texas. Kazmierski averaged 11.72 assists per set and dished out 340 assists for the week. She also accounted for 15 kills, 102 digs, nine service aces, and 10 blocks in the district season opener against Austin High and at the VolleyPalooza Tournament. The 6-0 setter ranks second in the national and in Texas with a team-best 950 assists on the year. She also leads the Cavs in service aces (43), ranks second in aces per set (.40) and third in digs per set (283). The team captain has Lake Travis sporting an overall record of 32-4 and a flawless 6-0 mark in district play. The MaxPreps/AVCA National Players of the Week honor high school girls and boys from numerous states/regions throughout the volleyball season.
